1.2.207.0
31 October 2026 LatestThe Mail Room: read, write and file your email in MyPA, with Smart Sweep in its Inbox — and time zones handled when you travel.
New
- Mail Room — a Mail tab in the Planner for your accounts’ folders: a folder bar with the folders you use most pinned, a newest-first list with conversations brought together across folders, and a reading pane that shows each message clean, without the formatting and signature clutter, or exactly as it was sent.
- Search — by person, word, attachment, date or folder as you type, with suggestions, filter chips and the best matches first. Pin a search to the folder bar to keep it.
- Write email in MyPA — New Email, Reply, Reply All and Forward, in the reading pane or a window of their own, with your Outlook signature beneath. Pictures (pasted, dropped in, or from your recent pictures, offered smaller when they are large), tables, alignment, lists, colours, links to websites you visited lately, and @mentions in Outlook’s own format.
- A last look before it goes — spelling in your own language, with suggestions and Add to dictionary on the right-click menu; a forgotten attachment, an empty subject or a placeholder left in. Send now or later, set its importance, and follow it up or file it with a task or meeting as it goes.
- Drafts — saved as you write and opened in place from the Drafts folder. A draft started in Outlook can be continued there or brought over.
- Smart Sweep in the Mail Room — the Inbox’s Sweep view, with bands you drag messages between and Apply over them, which says what it will do before it does it. All mail shows the Inbox as a list instead.
- Meeting invitations — answered from the reading pane, with a link to see the time in your Day Plan. Edit the response before sending opens it as an email.
- Everything you do with mail — Make Task, Link to a task or appointment, Move (with the folders you used lately), Delete with Undo, categories, Mark as read, Not Junk, and for the Outbox, Change send time and Send now.
- Attachments view — the files in your recent mail in one list, to open, save or attach to a new email.
- Time zones — a home time zone for your working hours, in Settings ▸ Scheduling Windows. When you travel, MyPA keeps to those hours, leaves the work it has planned where it is, and shows every time in local time. A meeting set in another time zone shows its own time too, in brackets: 10:00–11:00 (15:00–16:00 BST).
Improved
- Time Log for the whole Planner — time spent in the Planner is logged as planning or email, and time on an email that belongs to a task goes to the task.
- Day Plan cards say where a task stands — “Due today · not started” — and the focus card’s +N opens its people.
- Quicker estimates — a Time Needed, Time Left or Time Spent preset applies with one click, and there are 5, 10 and 15 minute presets.
- Big folders open quickly and read more of themselves as you scroll.
- A gentler reminder — a missed departure now reads “12 mins since planned departure time”.
- Updates install quietly — installing a new version no longer asks you to close Outlook, Teams or OneNote.
- Ribbon — Defer (was Defer Start), Link with its own icon, and Attach and Send Later on new mail.
Fixed
- When the clocks went back, MyPA’s background planning paused for an hour, and a running timer lost an hour. When they went forward, a paused timer could start again.
- West of home, a flagged email’s due date could show as the day before, and an all-day event could seem to cover two days.
- Setting your work location from another time zone could add a second entry for the day.
- On computers that write dates day first, Smart Sweep could read the wrong stretch of the Inbox.
